Sandbanks and Harbourside Marine Ltd was established in 2003 with the merger of two companies, Sandbanks Marine Services and Harbourside Marine Services.

Engineers Robert and Alan have over 86 years’ experience between them. They both completed full marine apprenticeships covering all aspects of marine engineering from small dinghy power units up to large diesel powered luxury yachts with E Gillam Ltd covering Poole and the south coast.

In the mid 70’s  they went their separate ways to boatyards in Sandbanks and Lymington. Robert later moved on to a major diesel engine mariniser and Development Company until the opportunity arose to start his own business at Sandbanks. Alan moved to Hamworthy where he specialised in installation and maintenance of power boats eventually setting up his own business.
